Your opportunity:
The Toronto Academic Health Science Network (TAHSN) is a consortium of the University of Toronto and 14 affiliated academic hospitals that focuses on collaborative initiatives aimed at promoting and advancing a shared academic mission of top quality education, innovative research and delivery of high quality patient care.
As Project Lead, TAHSN, you will regularly interact with senior hospital and academic administrators and play a pivotal role in advancing the priorities of the various TAHSN executive-level committees. You will build business cases, manage working groups and project work plans, and conduct research, environmental scans and literature reviews to enable evidence-based decision-making, and advance initiatives across multiple organizations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and and strengthening relationships with stakeholders and partners of strategic importance
- Conducting systematic literature reviews and environmental scans
- Planning and implementing project phases
- Researching, analyzing and recommending solutions to project challenges
- Synthesizing technical, qualitative and contextual research data and providing detailed information on data analysis findings to stakeholders
- Coordinating TAHSN committees and working groups, including agenda development with stakeholders, logistics, minutes, and serving as a resource on specific issues to executive committee members
- Conceptualizing special events and/or functions
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in health administration or public policy, or acceptable combination of relevant/equivalent education and experience
- Minimum five years' of experience in health care public policy or related environment
- Knowledge of post secondary education and/or research environment, including issues relating to learners, faculty, researchers
- Strong knowledge of health system issues and the Toronto health sciences environment
- Demonstrated project management experience, including process development, implementation and evaluation
- Experience building and strengthening relationships with hospital executives and hospital partners of strategic importance
- Demonstrated experience working with and supporting level committees and coordinating events
- Experience developing business cases, project plans, reports, terms of reference and briefing notes
- Experience working with qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Experience analyzing data and presenting findings to stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office 365, including MS Teams and OneNote and video conferencing platforms
- Superior communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
- Ability to use tact, discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Strong oral presentation and facilitation skills
- Critical thinker with solid research and analytical skills
- Sound judgment; demonstrating awareness of when to escalate issues, when to act independently, and how to balance urgency with respect for senior leadership's time and priorities
- Self-starter with proven experience managing multiple projects in a multi-stakeholder environment
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with executive level stakeholders
- Ability to build strong relationships within the team, actively support peers, and help drive a culture of collaboration and shared success
