Job Description What is the opportunity? Are you an experienced project manager looking to leverage your skills/experience to support the governance objectives of a functionally diverse business at RBC? The Chief Legal & Administrative Office Group Portfolio Management Office (CLAO PMO) is looking for a detail-oriented Project Governance Manager to assist in developing, implementing and championing initiative governance requirements for all segment PMO’s under CLAO. This role isn’t about executing a project; its about defining how all projects run. The Project Governance Manager is a key enabler in ensuring consistency, compliance, and visibility to all projects across the portfolio. What will you do? Design & Implement: Contribute to the development and adoption of a comprehensive initiative management governance framework including policies, standards, templates that align to RBC Enterprise policies and standards Compliance & Assurance: Ensure all projects adhere to defined governance standards and monitor performance through regular health checks and governance audits (Quality Assurance Review) Subject Matter Expert & Training: Act as the champion for portfolio management governance, developing training materials and coaching stakeholders on best practices and framework adherence. Reporting & Metrics: Develop and maintain robust portfolio risk reports presenting initiative performance against established KPIs and other key business metrics Initiative Intake & Decision Framework: Manage the effective intake and review of initiative requests across all segment PMOs for CLAO senior leadership decisioning through Investment Review Board (IRB) What do you need to succeed? Must have: 3+ years of progressive work experience in Project Management, Portfolio Management, or a Project Management Office (PMO) Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills Experience with producing reports for senior leadership and business stakeholder review Adept organizational skills and ability to ensure accuracy, attention to detail is applied to all requirements Proficient analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of translating complex data into actionable governance decisions. Nice-to-have: Proficiency with Portfolio and Project Management (PPM) software (Planview) Experience with Power BI or related business insights platform What’s in it for you?
