As a key member of the Learning Enablement team, you’ll help us manage our financial plan, optimize vendor portfolio and engagements, lead operational risk and regulatory compliance processes, and ensuring operational excellence across the Learning & Leadership ecosystem to enable our teams to move at pace, curating solutions that address business needs and support talent development across RBC. Finance planning & forecasting Serve as Learning team’s primary finance contact, working with our Finance Department to lead the financial management, annual budget planning, monthly operating reviews and forecasts (FTE & $), including reviewing Financial and Headcount actual against plan / forecast and highlighting & addressing any risk and/or opportunities on a regular basis. Oversees learning budget and cost allocations, allocating business financial chargebacks, FTE cost allocation and facilitating vendor payables. Optimize vendor portfolio and engagements Manage portfolio of suppliers and engagements, maintaining records, book of vendors, and ensuring compliance with RBC’s Third-Party Risk (TPR) requirements, from ‘Initiation to Termination’ of the engagement working with enterprise tools: iValua, Archer-SRMA, Questionnaires, Supplier Risk & Due Diligence Assessments, Information Reviews. Manages the supplier relationship ensuring: (1) timely and accurate contract initiation, approvals and registration with business and Procurement partner, (2) clear understanding and adherence to RBC’s Policies, (3) proactive escalation of non-compliance with documented details, (4) effective vendor evaluation and scorecards in partnership with Learning Business Management Leads. Operational risk and regulatory compliance Represent Learning & Leadership in collaboration with HR Operational Risk & internal partners to execute and fulfill aspects of the first line of defense Operational Risk Management (ORM), Regulatory Compliance Management and Functions Compliance Oversight Programs, including risk and control identification and assessment and issues and risk event management. Act as a change agent to build awareness and knowledge within team, keeping Risk Owners and the HR Risk Oversight team informed on issues, opportunities and emerging risks. Participate in the Risk Manager Community Network, community of contacts across HR teams. Provide team-specific knowledge, insight on team operating environment, raise risk-based issues, document risk statements and internal control activities. Partner with 1LOD and 2LOD teams to interpret requirements and translate them into processes and controls for Learning & Leadership governance. Operational excellence Lead process improvement initiatives, conducting process audits and facilitating root cause analysis to optimize the end-to-end experience for learning studio, CoE partners and business-anchored learning partners. Introduce and embed process governance frameworks and standard operating procedures aligned with internal controls and compliance requirements to drive consistency and a controlled environment. Evaluate, implement and manage systems (e.g. project management tools, content workflow platforms) to support team productivities and drive the adoption of technologies that support simplified processes.
