We are looking for an Ambulatory Psychotherapist to join our team of devoted caregivers. The Ambulatory Psychotherapist is a licensed independent practitioner, in an ambulatory adult practice setting, providing clinical mental health diagnoses from adjustment disorders to serious chronic mental health conditions such as Bipolar Affective Disorder, Schizoaffective/Schizophrenia. The Ambulatory Psychotherapist can differentiate appropriate levels of care and provide patients with well formulated outpatient treatment plans and care coordination with other relevant practitioners. A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 7:30AM – 4:30PM. One scheduled day per week may be worked remotely. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide a minimum of clinical patient care hours per week, which is face to face with patients either in office or by virtual visit. Have knowledge of outpatient billing criteria for evaluation and follow up patient care. Provide treatment plans and coordination with patient involvement. Provide individual, group, family, couples and crisis counseling as needed. Coordinate higher levels of care for patients with severe mental health conditions, substance use disorders, etc. Provide needed patient resources to support mental health needs. Provide thorough and complete documentation for patient care to support clinical diagnoses and billing. Act as a liaison with patients, families, community support workers and facilities to obtain information. Provide continuing education to residents and various professionals in other discipline areas such as social work, nursing, care coordinators, medical students. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Independent Social Worker Supervisor (LISW-S) No record of substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports Three years of experience in a behavioral health setting with comprehensive knowledge of current psychotherapeutic techniques, theories and practices sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and counsel patients Can concisely document clinical findings and patient needs in an electronic medical record while navigating a multi-specialized behavioral health environment Can communicate across different electronic platforms and across a broad geographic provider base is essential Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: One year of experience in talk therapy/counseling and diagnosis EPIC EHR experience Clinical behavioral health experience in counseling Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
