Position Summary
Reporting to the Director Distribution, the Senior Manager, Distribution, will be responsible for implementing key initiatives at the SDC location including, standardizing processes, increasing efficiencies, supporting the team in implementing improvement initiatives for various projects specifically, creating a culture where safety comes first.
The Senior Manager, Distribution will drive operational excellence, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to meet organizational and customer needs.
Key Accountabilities
Oversee the daily operations and distribution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Ensure Compliance within our SLAs and internal KPIs.
Monitor and Control Inventory Levels across the Distribution Center to optimize stock availability. Coordinate with planning to balance supply and demand
Lead, Train and develop distribution and warehouse staff. Set clear performance expectations.
Manage Distribution Spend while identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising service
Implement CI initiatives to enhance distribution efficiencies while streamlining workflow.
Establish, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and optimize distribution operations, utilizing data to drive continuous improvement.
Provide regular performance reports to senior leadership, offering insights into distribution center performance, cost management efforts, and operational challenges.
Ensure Compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Maintain strong Relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Requirements
University degree and/or post-secondary diploma in business
Minimum 5 - 7 years of management experience in logistics and/or warehousing, preferably in a manufacturing/perishable industry
Excellent skills in MS Office
Strong understanding of warehousing processes, procedures and best practices.
Knowledgeable in pick and pack operations.
Knowledge of material handling equipment
Excellent leadership, negotiation, problem solving and organizational skills
Communicates effectively with others at all levels of the organization
Ability to efficiently and effectively handle shifting and multiple priorities
Must be a team player who excels working in a team environment
Strong analytical abilities to analyze information and recommend solutions to improve operational efficiencies.
Motivated self-starter who is customer focused.
