Starting Salary Range: $60,000 - $68,000 annually. This is the starting base range for this role and may vary based on internal equity, and a candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Over and above the base salary and the benefits highlighted above, this position is also eligible for an incentive bonus of up to 10% of the annual salary.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager, E-Commerce the Manager, Sales Operations is responsible for overseeing the Sales Operations department and its daily tasks. In addition, the Manager, Sales Operations oversees product and promotions fulfilment, supplier onboarding, inventory and training, as well as development of best practices throughout the organization. The Manager, Sales Operations is an enthusiastic, professional, respectful, motivated and resourceful team player, who has the ability to also work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a Tourism Whistler ambassador, living our purpose and vision with passion & energy, achievement and respect
Lead, train, and support the Sales Operations team to ensure effective performance and engagement
Oversee the onboarding, fulfilment, and ongoing management of suppliers, offers, and products sold through Whistler.com
Coordinate seasonal inventory changes and promotions to ensure availability of products within expected timelines
Oversee rate parity and inventory analysis and communicate results to suppliers with support from the management team
Training and ongoing support of supplier accounts using the Inntopia RMS
Liaise with Inntopia account manager and assist with Inntopia enhancement projects and new features
Participate in system enhancements, process improvements, and documentation of best practices for sales operations as required
Ensure accuracy and quality of reservations and promotional programs, minimizing risk to revenue
Oversee tracking of sales promotions and voucher programs sold through Whistler.com and communicate results to internal stakeholders
Monitor customer feedback and online post-booking surveys to identify opportunities for improvements to online reservation process and data where possible
Manage supplier accounts, contracts, insurance documentation, and B2B software, including Extranets
Oversee management of Whistler.com client relationship tool (D365) to ensure accurate information
Collaborate with internal teams (Web Sales & Marketing, Finance, Group Sales) to optimize product setup, promotions, and fulfilment
Additional projects as assigned by the Senior Manager, E-Commerce
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Passion and knowledge of Whistler, mountain resorts, and the tourism industry
3+ years sales experience in a resort setting
3+ years experience in a leadership capacity
Experience managing Extranets and B2B software
Strong organizational, time management, and problem solving skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and team members
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Internet browsers)
Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
Highly motivated, enthusiastic, resourceful, and a team player capable of independent work
