As a key member of GFL’s National Accounts team, the Sales Support Specialist will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of proposal development, contract review, and customer onboarding. This position is responsible for coordinating and preparing comprehensive responses to RFPs, tenders, and formal proposal requests, ensuring all submissions are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. The role requires strong collaboration across departments to gather information, secure approvals, and communicate contract requirements, service levels, and pricing details to operations and dispatch teams. The Specialist will review client documentation to identify key terms, deliverables, and risks, while maintaining organized records of all proposals, templates, and supporting materials. Additionally, the role supports sales and operational teams in the execution of awarded contracts, facilitates new customer setup, and assists with IT-related tasks and special projects as needed. This position demands exceptional attention to detail, organization, and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Job Duties Coordinate and prepare comprehensive responses to RFPs, tenders, and formal proposal requests Track submission timelines and ensure all deadlines and requirements are met Review proposed contracts and client documentation to identify key terms, deliverables, and risks Collaborate with internal departments to gather required information and approvals Provide sales and operational support to ensure smooth execution of awarded contracts Communicate contract requirements, service levels, and pricing details to operations and dispatch teams Facilitate new customer setup, including account creation, service scheduling, and internal documentation Format, proofread, and finalize proposal documents to ensure accuracy and consistency Maintain organized records of all submissions, templates, and supporting materials Assist with IT-related tasks and special projects as required Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail Uphold a high standard of professionalism, organization, and written communication Qualifications Waste management industry experience is required (please do not apply if you do not have meaningful waste industry experience) TRUX experience an asset Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects An independent problem solver with excellent organizational skills to work across functions Bilingualism an asset, but not mandatory Passion for business excellence with exceptional follow through Exceptional communication (verbal and written) Strong Proficiency in MS Office, along with high attention to detail GFL Environmental is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
