Job Description RBC Capital Markets Technology is looking for a highly skilled Associate Director, Data and Architecture Services - Capital Markets to join the Data Content and Modeling team. The role will focus on documenting data requirements, identifying data requirements gaps, supporting the datasets registration, ingestion and consumption processes to satisfy requirements for capital markets business, support regulatory compliance and the overall CM data strategy to improve data quality and controls. Responsibility includes standardizing data within the capital markets domain (includes but not limited to Trade data, Reference data (Client, Book, Instrument), Payments, Risk etc.) and other structured & unstructured datasets used for analytics. What will you do? Document data requirements and identify gaps in collaboration with stakeholders from various departments Standardize data within the capital markets domain, including trade data, reference data, payments, and other structured/unstructured datasets Develop and maintain data catalogs using industry-standard tools and frameworks Define data formats to support standardized reporting and integrate them with existing systems Identify and document system lineage, data flows, and control points to ensure data integrity and security Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop target operating models and implement data governance practices Analyze data quality issues and recommend solutions to improve data accuracy and completeness Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies to prioritize tasks and track project progress What do you need to succeed? Must-have Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Accounting, or engineering Strong understanding of cash management products and services, including process and procedure implementation Skilled with standardizing data within the capital markets domain (includes but not limited to Trade data, Reference data (Client, Book, Instrument), Payments, Risk Proven experience in data system analysis, modeling, and/or system administration Proficiency in SQL and ability to create entity relationship diagrams for relational data modeling Previous Bloomberg/Reuters experience Familiarity with database models and data mapping concepts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) Nice-to-have Knowledge of industry data standards like FpML, CDM, ISO 20022 Advanced understanding of change management principles and business operations What’s in it for you?
