Working with our Governance, Risk & Controls department in Calgary, this will be a full-time student position from May through August 2026 within the Governance team. The Governance team ensures the governance document landscape within PETRONAS Canada is customer focused, enabling effective decision making by the right person at the right time with the right information. During your summer, you will gain exposure to the energy industry by attending sessions hosted by subject matter experts and will have an opportunity to showcase your learnings with your student network. HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: Support various areas of the business by analyzing existing governance documentation, distilling essential information, and synthesizing content to enhance navigation and understanding by users Collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance guiding narratives that support decision-making for both local-level and PETRONAS Upstream Line of Sight requirements Identify opportunities to improve the quality and communication of governance practices across our operations through various channels, including internal website, training and presentation material Assist in drafting communications to stakeholders regarding governance updates and initiatives Assist in the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Governance PowerBi dashboards and other tools Manage incoming requests and inquiries to the GRC shared inbox, ensuring they are addressed timely and in accordance with internal processes Assist with GRC system administration, including document maintenance and publication, user management and troubleshooting as required Support ad-hoc governance projects by tracking progress and contributing to reports and presentations WHAT YOU BRING: Actively enrolled in an undergraduate degree or diploma program at a post-secondary institution in Canada, and must be returning to undergraduate studies after the work term Second year Bachelor of Communications, or a similar post-secondary program is preferred Excellent writing skills, with the ability to support document enhancement and improve internal control quality Proactive individual with strong attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with your team, peers, and diverse business groups Demonstrates strong organizational skills and effectively manages multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
