Job Description
To provide prompt and courteous in-Villa Dining service to the Hotel’s guests.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Know all menu items, their garnishes, contents and preparation methods; relay the information to the guest in a polite and concise way when requested
Politely greet and briefly converse with guests in room while delivering trolleys/meals
Set up table and serve food from trolley with correct preparation of all orders
Show and explain food to ensure all (and proper) items are received
Answer questions re: Villa service and responds to requests for additional F&B service
Properly collect and neatly stack dirty dishes on trolley, table, or tray and remove from rooms or retrieve from pantries outside of villa’s
Break down trays at stewarding area
Clean work station including room service trays, hot boxes and room service shelves
Ensure that work station is stocked with appropriate condiments at all times
Report any guest comments and feedback to manager and follow up if necessary
Conscientious handling of operating equipment and maintaining the department’s service and storage areas in a clean and tidy condition
Learn and adhere to safety, sanitation and hygiene policies
Maintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, outlets, and hotel services/features
Actively promote Hotel’s services and facilities and offer information about other Raffles properties to guests and suppliers
Help minimize waste, neglect, breakages and mishandling of supplies and equipment
Handle cash following established and proper Accounting procedures
Assist other Food & Beverage Outlets in their operations during peak hours if needed
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Very good reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
Must be well presented and professionally groomed at all times
Able to account and handle cash effectively and efficiently
Good communication and customer contact skills; good problem resolution skills
Basic F&B product knowledge
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
Qualifications
Minimum 1-year food and beverage serving experience
Previous public contact and/or cashiering experience
