PwC is seeking a seasoned AWS Cloud Consultant to join our Cloud team. This hybrid role combines deep technical hands-on cloud engineering expertise with strategic cloud architecture leadership. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions that support PwC and our clients’ digital modernization and transformation agendas. The ideal candidate is passionate about cloud-native technologies, proficient in AWS services, and experienced in both infrastructure implementation and enterprise-level cloud solution architecture, guiding cross-functional teams and clients through complex cloud adoption frameworks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the design and governance of end-to-end cloud architectures aligned with business objectives and industry best practices. Develop scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solution blueprints incorporating compute, storage, networking, security, and application services on AWS. Drive cloud adoption strategy by assessing existing infrastructure, developing migration roadmaps, and recommending modernization initiatives. Collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, and business stakeholders to ensure cloud architecture meets compliance, governance, and risk mitigation requirements. Define architecture standards, frameworks, and automation practices to enforce consistency and reliability across multiple projects. Evaluate emerging AWS technologies and tools to continuously innovate cloud offerings and address evolving client needs. Design, build, and deploy cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK. Architect, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters leveraging AWS EKS to ensure high availability, scalability, and operational excellence. Build and maintain compute environments using AWS EC2, Lambda, Batch, Fargate, and ECS services. Implement and automate CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native and containerized applications and infrastructure provisioning. Monitor cloud environments; troubleshoot and resolve performance, security, and cost optimization issues. Implement rigorous security controls, ensure compliance with PwC and client policies, including IAM policies, network segmentation, logging, and auditing. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams on cloud best practices, tools, and architectures. Produce detailed technical documentation and cloud architecture artifacts to support client engagements and internal knowledge sharing. Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Extensive hands-on experience in AWS cloud architecture and engineering, demonstrating proven success in large-scale cloud projects. Expert knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration and containerization technologies; strong experience with AWS EKS and ECS. Strong background in AWS compute services including EC2, Lambda, Fargate, Batch, with knowledge of HPC and AWS Outposts a plus. Hands-on experience in Infrastructure as Code tooling: Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK. Solid hands-on working experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Harness, AWS CodePipeline, or GitHub Actions. Strong understanding of cloud security fundamentals including IAM, security groups, network ACLs, encryption, and compliance. Strong preference - Proficient scripting skills with Python, Bash, or similar languages. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent verbal and written communication suited to consulting environments. Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional; Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD); Terraform Certified Associate. PwC BC Region Pay Range Information The salary range for this position is $103,000.00 - 137,400.00 - 171,800.00$ CAD Annual, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual bonus payment. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon your skills, experience, qualifications and geographic location. Please note that the salary range for this position is reflected for our British Columbia region.
