Job Title: Accounts Payable Lead
Job Description
The Accounts Payable (AP) Lead oversees the daily operations of the AP department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, managing a team of AP specialists, and resolving complex payment issues. This role acts as the primary point of contact for all AP-related matters, maintaining efficient financial processes and accurate payment records.
Responsibilities
Lead and Support AP Operations: Act as the primary contact for complex accounts payable issues, oversee a team of 4 AP Administrators, and ensure vendor compliance and timely payments.
Manage Systems and Processes: Oversee Concur and Sage integration for invoicing and expenses, review AP batches, process payments (EFTs, wires, cheques), and handle intercompany transactions.
Ensure Accuracy and Timely Reporting: Reconcile credit card statements, prepare monthly accruals, support month-end and year-end activities, and maintain vendor records and AP best practices.
Essential Skills
Experienced AP Professional: Over 3–5 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience, including credit card reconciliations, month/year-end transactions, and independently resolving AP issues.
Leadership & Process Improvement: 3 years of team management experience, with a strong track record in training and mentoring, plus hands-on involvement in system implementations and AP process enhancements using Concur.
Technical Proficiency & Communication: Skilled in Sage 300, SAP Concur, SharePoint, and Excel (pivot tables, formulas), with strong communication abilities.
Work Environment
Reporting directly to the Assistant Director. The work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with some flexibility, or from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Training is conducted 100% in-office, followed by a hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home, typically on set days with some flexibility. The office offers free roadside parking. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
