The Installation Director- Canada leads and manages the day-to-day operations of the Canadian installation team for ASSA ABLOY – Entrance Systems. This role ensures that all installations are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the installation department for Canada, including but not limited to P&L accountability, project management, scheduling, department staffing needs, project budgeting, and large project execution. 
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
P&L understanding to develop and implement strategic plans for the installation department.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of installation managers, supervisors, and technicians.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Work directly with all Branch Managers on project timelines and technician availability.
Provide training, coaching, and performance evaluations for installation staff.
Project Management
Cradle to grave project management.
Work with local and national teams to help bid and book large projects.
Oversee the planning and execution to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Coordinate with sales to ensure smooth project handoffs.
Ensure all installations are completed according to specifications, codes, and safety standards.
Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues.
Coordinate with project managers, sales, and service teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Customer Relations
Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile or escalated installation projects.
Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution. Act as the primary point of contact for high visibility installation-related customer concerns.
Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders, contractors, and facility managers. 
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all installations comply with ANSI/BHMA standards, ADA requirements, and local building codes.
Promote and enforce safety protocols and training for all installation personnel.
Ensure proper maintenance and manage tools, vehicles, PPE and installation materials.
Financial Oversight
Develop and manage the monthly installation sales forecast.
Monitor job costing and profitability of installation projects.
Work with Canadian management team on the monthly P&L with a focus on field operations (FOPS).
Negotiate pricing and terms with subcontractors and suppliers. 
Process Improvement
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Evaluate and adopt new tools, technologies, and best practices.
Collaborate with sales for proper backlog management through the CRM system. 
Travel
Ability to travel to all Canadian branches and jobsites. 
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or PMP certification with related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in installation or construction management, preferably in the automatic door or access control industry.
3+ years in a leadership or director-level role.
Strong knowledge of automatic door systems, including sliding, swinging, and revolving doors a plus.
Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
