Job Description
We are seeking an organized and efficient Warehouse Colleague to join our team in Whitby, Canada. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations
Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse processes
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
Assist in training new warehouse staff as needed
Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions or inventory discrepancies
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for warehouse operations
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous warehouse experience preferred
Proficiency in inventory management and warehouse management systems
Valid forklift certification (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking
Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures
Additional Information
Physical demands that are required include mobility (walking, standing, climbing, bending, etc.) and manual material handling (lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, etc.). Movement of product by use of ladders and stock pickers is required.
