The Procurement Services team at Simon Fraser University manages the acquisition of goods and services in line with SFU's Procurement, Signing Authority, and Ethical Procurement policies. Integrity, ethical decision-making, and a commitment to sustainable, value-driven procurement are essential.

Qualifications
Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation with the Supply Chain Management Association of Canada or other equivalent professional accreditation in a supply management related field, and 5 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Public Procurement Expertise: Thorough knowledge of public procurement methods, competitive bidding, contract law, and related legislative requirements.
Contract Management & Negotiation: Ability to develop, evaluate, negotiate, and manage complex contracts to achieve best value.
Analytical & Strategic Skills: Strong problem-solving, research, and strategic planning abilities for sourcing, supplier evaluation, and procurement decision-making.
Technical Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., PeopleSoft), MS Office, and procurement applications supporting RFPs, tenders, and purchase orders.
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and team leadership skills to work effectively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.

Additional Information
The pay range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for the position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the pay range.
