Job Description: Join Microchip’s FPGA software engineering team to develop and optimize EDA tools that power the entire FPGA design flow—from design entry to synthesis, place-and-route, timing, power analysis, and simulation. As an EDA Software Engineer, you’ll work in an agile environment, collaborating with experts to enhance the performance and quality of our FPGA design tools. Requirements/Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science. 0–2 years of software engineering experience. Proficient in C/C++ with strong programming, algorithm, and data structure skills. Must know Verilog/System Verilog/VHDL. Must be capable of writing test cases and test benches Excellent problem-solving, debugging, communication, and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EDA tools (e.g., logic synthesis, formal verification). Strong digital design knowledge and FPGA experience. Familiarity with Git and scripting languages (Perl, Python, Bash, Tcl). Experience with large-scale software development on Linux and Windows.
