Job Purpose
We are currently seeking a Small Tool Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of hoisting and rigging equipment, including chain hoists, come-along, tirfors, shackles, slings, and other related gear. The successful candidate will ensure all equipment is in top working condition and meets safety standards through a proactive preventative maintenance program. This position is Monday to Friday.Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on hoisting and rigging tools.
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with chain hoists, come-along, tirfors, and similar equipment.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
Ensure all equipment complies with applicable safety regulations and standards.
Collaborate with the rental operations team to prioritize service needs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Assist with inventory management and parts ordering as needed.
Skills
Perform rental inspection on tools, light equipment and other rental items
Qualified to operate, inspect and test manually powered tools
Qualified to operate, inspect and test pneumatic powered tools
Qualified to operate, inspect and test electric powered tools
Qualified to operate inspect and test hydraulic powered tools
Conditions of Employment
Previous experience servicing small tools or rigging equipment preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and safety guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A valid drivers license and a recent abstract will be required.

Pay Range: $25-29/hr Depending on experience
