What the day will look like
The IT Analyst - Business Systems Analysis leads the identification, evaluation, and documentation of technical solutions to meet customer requirements. Leads scoping, impact analysis, and requirements definition activities. Coordinates with design, development, and testing teams on in-flight changes. Performs defect root cause analysis and identification of corrective actions. Conducts analysis of business processes when responding to client requests and various operational areas.
This position primarily involves managing solutions of moderate complexity. As a Business Systems Analyst in Pension Administration, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring systems are aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
Guides the management of requirements by assessing Change Requests in terms of solution choices, estimating, and analyzing impacts for small to medium complexity operational procedures and solutions.
Consults with partners and aligned technical and functional domains to complete documentation of business requirements.
Participates in project planning, status, and review meetings.
Supports development life cycle activities through coordination with design and development teams. Provides input to release manager to support deployment planning activities.
Provides input into testing scenarios to ensure appropriate test coverage and traceability of test scenarios back to requirements. Reviews test plans and results to confirm proper coverage, validity, and expected results are achieved.
Provides support for technical delivery of aligned projects to meet defined success criteria.
Analyzes business processes and develops insights and recommended actions in support of issue resolution and continuous improvement.
Participates in Root Cause analysis for defects and process issues including identification and assessment of options for corrective action/continuous improvement.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
French / English bilingualism is required due to the frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally.
Experience in Pension Administration
Strong analytical, follow-up, testing, and documentation skills.
In-depth knowledge of requirements gathering process.
Ability to map and test interface files.
Query skills.
Basic Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Access, Power Point, Excel, etc).
Foundational knowledge of security and data confidentiality policies.
Familiarity with software architectures and concepts.
Sound grasp of systems development life cycles and systems development methodologies.
Proficient knowledge in reengineering approaches, identifying and mapping business processes.
Knowledge of project management tools and techniques.
Demonstrates and models behaviours described in the Aon Leadership Model.
