Job Description: The incumbent is an experienced, emergency room nurse responsible for guiding post-graduate and undergraduate learners in the clinical environment at both RGH and PH ERs. Reporting Manager, Academic Health Sciences-Simulation and jointly to the Unit Manager, the Medical Teaching Nursing Coordinator (MTNC) is responsible for promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority in this front line education leadership role. The MNT Coordinator is experienced in adult education and facilitates a high quality of patient care services through the promotion of an excellent learning experience for all medical learners and programs placed in ER.

Experience
Experience in quality monitoring and evaluation
3 years experience in clinical area within the past 5 years
Requires experience in program/resource development related to needs assessment.
1 year previous experience in adult education
Experience in research
Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities
Education
Requires or in progress towards a recognized Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
Licenses
Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
Other Education and Training
Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
