Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Warehouse Job Description Summary: Provide logistical support to all departments. This may include the movement of all materials and products to and from all warehouse storage areas. Includes the receipt of all incoming material as well as the preparation, staging and loading of all domestic and export shipments. The incumbent will perform in a collaboration environment interacting with all Logistics Personnel, thus providing their customers (internal and external) with the highest possible level of service. Essential Functions: Ensure safe, timely and accurate delivery of materials between all production and warehouse storage areas, while aligning with all regulatory and internal procedures. Ensure safe, timely and accurate receipt of all inventoriable and non-inventoriable items, including inspection for damages, confirming quantities and repalletization. Accurate and timely data entry of Purchase Orders upon receipt of goods into the enterprise resource planning system and the generation of documentation for pallet labeling and sampling. Ensure safe, timely and accurate loading of finished products and materials onto transport trailers and containers. Schedule delivery appointments with suppliers and freight carriers. Perform daily inspections and minor maintenance on lift trucks to ensure safe operation. Mentor and assist level I and II material handlers with forklift practical experience. Use SAP to investigate material quantity variances. Troubleshoot issues with RF scanners and provide support to team members. Investigate inventory errors (quantity variances, missing material) and escalate as required. Support Deviation Report (DR) investigations and complete assigned CAPAs via TrackWise as required. Support continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a safe working environment and reports potential hazards. Perform alternating or rotating shift work. Travel to offsite warehouse location is required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: Required: Minimum of 2 year of work experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field Required: Valid forklift operation certificate Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment Equivalency: Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of warehouse material handling functionality within SAP. Ability to multi-task, meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong accuracy and attention to detail. Work efficiently with limited supervision. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and maneuver up to 80lbs. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Familiarity with cGMP's, SOP's, SAP, WHMIS and safety regulations. Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Proficiency with the English Language. Work collaboratively with fellow team members, modelling positive team principles and partnering to meet project and departmental objectives. Carry out all duties within strict compliance to Patheon quality systems SOP's and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion. Actively engage in and adhere to departmental systems to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow (visual management, scheduling systems, etc.). Be client and patient conscious at all times. Understand Key Performance Indicators and strive to improve the performance of the team by identifying areas for system improvements and engage in problem solving. Physical Requirements: Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about manufacturing/office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of medium to heavy weights; arm, hand and finger dexterity; visual acuity to operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time. Usually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, loud noise, bright lights, fumes or odour.
