Senior Front-End Developer (Angular, TypeScript)
Exciting opportunity in the insurance industry for a seasoned front-end developer to build scalable and high-performance UI solutions using Angular, TypeScript, and modern web technologies. What is in it for you:
• Salaried: $100-107 per hour.
• Incorporated Business Rate: $110-119 per hour.
• 10-month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
• Hybrid model: 3 days per week on-site, subject to change.
Responsibilities:
• Build highly modular, composable, and scalable UI components using Angular and TypeScript.
• Implement advanced state management, TypeScript decorators, and modular styling for maintainability and performance.
• Optimize frontend performance using Webpack, Node.js, NPM, and other modern tooling.
• Contribute to and maintain core UI libraries and design systems.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver pixel-perfect, accessible, and responsive interfaces.
• Automate deployments and configure CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Apply secure coding practices and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Work within Agile teams using tools like Jira and Git.
• Drive innovation in frontend architecture and development practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in strategic planning and roadmap development.
• Communicate risks and solutions effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you will need to succeed:
• A university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of front-end development experience, including 2+ years in a senior or lead role.
• Expertise in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks and tools.
• Familiarity with microservices-based architectures and APIs.
• Strong understanding of frontend performance optimization, responsive design, and SEO best practices.
• Experience working in cloud environments, ideally AWS.
• Proficiency with advanced testing strategies and scalable frontend architecture design.
• Demonstrated passion for user-centric development and delivering excellent user experiences.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in Agile environments with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
• Insurance industry knowledge is an asset.
