Your Team:
Join Flair’s Digital Operations team, where technology, security, and innovation enable the systems that power our airline. Reporting to the Director, Digital Operations, the Project Manager, Digital Operations, is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and delivery of technology and cybersecurity initiatives across Flair’s Digital Operations portfolio. This role oversees complex, cross-functional projects that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen cybersecurity posture, and modernize IT systems across the organization. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and organized project leader with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of IT and cybersecurity environments.
This position is based on-site at our offices in Toronto (YYZ), Edmonton (YEG), Calgary (YYC), or Vancouver (YVR).
A Day in the Life:
The duties of the Project Manager include:
- Plan, execute, and deliver IT and cybersecurity projects according to scope, timeline, and budget.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success metrics in alignment with business goals.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including charters, schedules, budgets, RAID logs, and status reports.
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams, including IT operations, cybersecurity, application development, and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate project meetings, track action items, and ensure accountability for deliverables.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure deliverables meet Flair’s technical and security standards.
- Collaborate with the procurement team on contract activities for IT and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Support change management and communication efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies or processes.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity to ensure projects comply with internal security policies and regulatory frameworks (e.g., PCI DSS, ISO 27001).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management methodologies and tools within the Digital Operations function.
- Prepare executive-level reporting on project progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What You Bring to the Role:

- Education:
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Microsoft SC-200, or similar) are an asset.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, systems administration, or IT security operations.
- Hands-on experience across multiple cybersecurity domains and tools, including:
- Network Security (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Segmentation, VPN, NAC)
- Vulnerability and Patch Management
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Endpoint Security and Hardening
- Cloud Security (Microsoft 365 / Azure / AWS)
- Email and Phishing Defense
- Practical experience with a range of cybersecurity tools and technologies, including:
- Network Security: Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer), Cisco Firepower, pfSense.
- Endpoint Security: Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Palo Alto Cortex.
- SIEM / Log Management: Microsoft Sentinel, IBM QRadar/QRoC.
- Vulnerability Management: Tenable, Qualys, or Rapid7.
- Identity & Access Management: Azure AD, Entra ID.
- Cloud Security: Microsoft 365 Security Center, Defender for Cloud, AWS Security Hub.
- Email Security: Mimecast, Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
- Awareness & Phishing Simulation: Mimecast, KnowBe4.
- Prior experience in aviation, transportation, or other regulated industries is considered an asset.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document technical information clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Solid understanding of modern threat vectors, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, and defence-in-depth strategies.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is an asset.
- Demonstrated curiosity, ownership, and commitment to continuous learning.
- Requirements:
- Clear Canadian Criminal Record Check (CCRC) and satisfactory employment references.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without restriction.
