We are seeking a strategic Medical Affairs leader to drive therapeutic area (TA) strategy and support the launch and commercialization of immunology products. This role leads the medical strategy across brands, partners cross-functionally, and manages a high-performing team, including Scientific Advisors/Directors and an MSL Manager (with a field MSL team).
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the Immunology medical strategy across the portfolio.
Partner with cross-functional teams to support peri-launch, launch, and ongoing commercialization activities.
Serve as medical lead for TA medical plans, life cycle strategies, scientific communications, and medical governance.
Coach, develop, and manage a team of medical leaders and MSLs, fostering a culture of collaboration, scientific excellence, and inclusion.
Ensure efficient resource allocation, capability building, and strong cross-functional partnerships.
Support compliance, medical training, funding requests (grants/sponsorship), and alignment with corporate policies.
Requirements
PhD, MD, or equivalent in a scientific/medical discipline.
8+ years of Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong communication, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills.
Experience in Immunology (dermatology, gastroenterology, rheumatology) strongly preferred.
Ability to travel and work in a hybrid model (approx. 50% onsite in Toronto).
