The opportunity
As Analyst, Investor Relations, you will play a key supporting role in all facets of the Investor Relations (IR) function. The incumbent will prepare documentation intended for the SVP, Head of Investor Relations and Global Communications as well as external presentations. Leveraging internal knowledge of the Company's business strategies, operations, and growth initiatives, the analyst will support the creation of analytical, organizational, and content development across a wide range of IR activities.
The role
Gather data, monitor and analyze stock performance, peer activity, industry trends, market trends, macroeconomic indicators, and investor sentiment.
Assist in drafting and coordinating press releases, investor presentations, and other corporate disclosure documents (e.g., MD&A, AIFs, annual reports and other regulatory materials). Support the preparation of Board materials and other documents as needed.
Track and summarize sell-side analyst reports, consensus estimates, and industry developments.
Develop and maintain internal databases, financial model and valuation analyses.
Ensure timely updates and accuracy across all IR-related tools and platforms including third-party financial platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ).
Assist in benchmarking IR and disclosure best practices.
Coordinate and manage logistics for investor events such as earnings calls, conferences, non-deal roadshows, investor days, and site visits.
Maintain and update the IR section of the corporate website and ensure compliance and timeliness of published content.
Contribute to the development and rollout of new IR initiatives based on data-driven insights and regular market research.
Work closely with internal corporate and operations teams on investor relation matters
Work with service providers, database and IR tools to structure and enhance the IR program
Support special projects and ad hoc assignments.
The requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; MBA and/or a professional certification such as CFA or CA is considered an asset
Between 2-5 years’ experience in Investor Relations, Equity Research, Investment Banking, Consulting or other related finance fields
Excellent communication both oral and written
Ability to convey key messages in a concise manner through presentations
Strong understanding of financial statements and investment concepts, modeling techniques and business valuation
Strong business acumen, analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Ability to adjust work hours around peak periods.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be result driven
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with internal and external stakeholders
Self-starter, highly organized, independent and self-motivated
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.) an asset
Familiarity with market data platforms such as Bloomberg, Factset, Capital IQ
Bilingual – English and French; Spanish an asset. This position requires proficiency in a language other than French to support customers, employees or markets located outside the province of Quebec or requiring services in a language other than French – mainly English.
Work schedule requires a 5 days per week presence in person, with flexibility
Individual contributor role – no direct reports
Some travel may be required, both local and international as needed
