Position Summary
As a Registered Nurse (RN) in our Dementia Care Unit, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, individualized care. Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, you will use your clinical judgment and nursing expertise to support residents and their families in a setting where care needs are established and changes in health condition are predictable.
Key Responsibilities
Provide person-centered nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately in compliance with regulatory standards.
Monitor residents’ health status, respond promptly to changes, and document care in accordance with Park Place policies.
Foster therapeutic relationships with residents and families, offering education and emotional support.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a culture of safety and continuous quality improvement.
Support dementia care best practices, including responsive behavior management and engagement strategies.
Qualifications
Current registration and good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
Demonstrated knowledge of dementia care principles and experience in long-term care or assisted living settings.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills.
