Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Manager for EventBridge you are responsible for one or
more cloud scale components of the service and ensure operational and
availability excellence, set roadmaps, and work backwards from customers to
identify pain points and invent new solutions to address them. Your role will
involve recruiting and guiding a team of talented engineers. Together, you'll
develop large scale distributed systems and features that seamlessly bring
together a vast ecosystem of events. The ultimate aim is to amplify developer
agility and enable our customers to integrate rapidly. Your technical domain
will be broad and diverse, involving core programming languages and an array of
modern technologies. This list comprises, but isn't limited to, Go, Java,
DynamoDB, Lambda, SQS, and numerous other AWS services. With strategic
foresight, you'll devise and implement a roadmap that promises highly available
and scalable solutions to meet customer needs.
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational
services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute
Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to
set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC
organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute,
Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps
services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized
security solutions for their cloud services.

professional. Basic Qualifications: - 3+ years of engineering team management
experience
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and
scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services
experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full
software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards,
code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing,
certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams Preferred
Qualifications: - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams,
and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product
features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of
Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective,
product software engineers

The base salary for this position ranges from $171,400/year up to $286,200/year.
Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of
compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in
addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
