Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Summary: Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Services, the incumbent is responsible for providing general accounting support to the Financial Services department including the preparation of financial statements related to externally funded college initiatives, assisting in maintaining the integrity of the general ledger system(s) and the preparation of year end binders and schedules. Qualifications: Post-secondary 2 year diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Equivalent education may be considered Current enrollment in an intermediate level of the CPA accounting program leading to a professional accounting designation Minimum 3 years’ experience in the preparation of financial statements for a multi-faceted organization Experience gained as a team player in a service oriented office environment Experience using computerized financial systems and software packages including Microsoft Office suite Experience with Workday or other similar ERP system would be an asset Experience in an educational or public sector environment an asset Excellent organizational skills, detail orientated, and ability to meet deadlines Demonstrated ability to work independently Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills Educational Credentials While transcripts are not required for the interview, they are mandatory as a condition of employment.
