ABOUT THE ROLE:
Home Trust is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Events and Communications Coordinator to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, communications and marketing while supporting initiatives that strengthen our brand and culture.
In addition:
Assist with planning and execution of internal and external events.
Manage logistics such as venue booking, catering, AV requirements, and materials preparation.
Support the development and distribution of promotional materials.
Contribute to communications plans for events and campaigns.
Write, edit, and proofread content for accuracy and consistency.
Publish articles and updates on the company intranet.
Design and produce visual assets (graphics, presentations, promotional materials) to support campaigns and events.
Ensure all content aligns with brand standards
Oversee promotional merchandise inventory, including ordering, tracking, and distribution.
Maintain accurate records and coordinate shipments for events and campaigns.
Assist with invoices, expense tracking, and maintaining organized records.
Provide support for larger projects and campaigns as needed.
WHAT WE REQUIRE:
Authorized to work in Canada
Great communication skills
Post-secondary degree or diploma, preferably in business management, finance, or related field (university an asset)
2-3 years relevant experience required in marketing, advertising or communications
Financial Services experience preferred
Strong attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud applications
Requires excellent time management skills and strong interpersonal skills
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Highly detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate information and interact with stakeholders both verbally and through written communication
Proven ability to proactively collaborate, take initiative, and creatively problem solve
