Program Aide - Casual Under the direction of the Program Manager/ Program Coordinator, participates in the planning of appropriate activities and providing high quality services to clients of the programs. Programs within Community Support Services department may include Adult Day Program, Congregate Dining Program, Active Seniors Program, and other related programs within CSS. Qualifications: Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent Completion of a C.P.R. Satisfactory Police Reference Check (with vulnerable sector screen) result Ontario driving license and access to an automobile an asset Knowledge and experience in senior care an asset Language Requirement: Good oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese Responsibilities: Under the overall direction of the Program Manager/Program Coordinator/Program Worker, participates in program services implementation and ensuring smooth operations of the activities Provides high quality personal care to assist clients during the program to promote independence in clients' daily activities, while respecting clients' rights and choices, and acknowledging the need for dignity and privacy Supports program teams in providing meal services, assisting in meal preparation, and assists the clients in eating in accordance with the client's wish and ability Assist clients in participating in social activities and encourage social interaction Provides timely and appropriate response to crisis intervention or behaviour management during programs Assist clients in the proper use and care of adaptive/prosthetic devices Complies with organization policies including risk management, health and safety, and infection control procedures Keeps up to date with developments and best practices in the field and renewal of any work- related certifications as required Other duties as assigned Physical Demands/Work Conditions: Some lifting and transfer Occasional evening or weekend work; Occasional Travel Posting End Date: 2025-12-01 Starting Rate: $18.53 Salary Range: $18.53 - $21.50 INTERNAL APPLICANTS: PLEASE APPLY THROUGH THE JOBS HUB Our people are our greatest strength and the core of our success.
