Develops, maintains and monitors model governance policies and procedures. Deploys technologies, ensures compliance with standards, and provides updates on policy changes. Provides interpretation of enterprise model governance guidelines. Ensures model governance strategy and management practices are aligned in support of business objectives. Creates a culture where model is managed as a valuable corporate asset, adheres to the regulations around model compliance, and reduces overall risk. Drives model governance by actively promoting improved model governance practices, enforcing policy, and following data governance best practices. Works with business/vendors for model validation. Manages model and analytics inventory. Enhances and manages Power BI dashboard for model performance monitoring. Establishes, maintains, periodically reviews and recommends changes to model governance policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures. Conducts audits to ensure that policies, procedures and metrics are in place for maintaining/improving the program. Aligns the Model Governance policy with the overall goals of the business strategy. Drives change in the organization to maximize the value of its models and plans for how the company will make those changes. Fosters a culture aligned to BMO purpose, values and strategy and role models BMO values and behaviours in all that they do. Ensures alignment between values and behaviour that fosters diversity and inclusion. Regularly connects work to BMO’s purpose, sets inspirational goals, defines clear expected outcomes, and ensures clear accountability for follow through. Qualifications: Typically 5+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient knowledge of model development, governance and productionalization process. Strong Power BI Skills and SQL skills for maintaining model performance dashboard. Strong understanding of machine learning platform and technology, including AWS SageMaker, Dataiku, SAS, etc. Proficient level knowledge in model compliance field. Proficient in change management Strong knowledge of business operations & procedures, and activities involving documented practices. Proficient in communication, critical thinking, relationship management and project management skills Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth Collaboration & team skills - In-depth Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth Influence skills - In-depth Data driven decision making - In-depth Salary: $75,900.00 - $141,900.00 Pay Type: Salaried The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
