Key purpose of the role As the Technical Lead (Tech Lead), Risk Platform you will provide direction and guidance and also take responsibility for technical solutions and engineering practices for the clearing risk platform. As part of your role, you will help Mentor and drive the team in the use of engineering best practices to improve the efficiency, stability, availability, and monitoring of the system while ensuring quality of deliverables, in alignment with technical standards. Your Team The Clearing Risk Platform team combines technical expertise, innovative problem-solving to design, deploy and implement effective solutions to support the Clearing Risk businesses within the ASX. Your responsibilities Leading the design and implementation of solutions within Markets technology Build a delivery pathway to build towards the strategic future Work closely with business, technology and operational stakeholders to define technical options and agree solutions Take ownership and accountability of the overall technical standards within the Clearing Risk Platform team Design and development of solutions that are aligned with ASX technology practices, providing reliable, stable applications Apply a continuous improvement mindset to standards, methods and processes Your experience and qualifications Must have Proven experience in technical leadership, including responsibility for quality of technical deliverables Highly skilled in Java and / or .Net software development, including in-depth knowledge of architecture patterns and APIs. Skilled in database development and maintenance – Sybase, SQL Server preferred Windows and Linux server support Experienced in developing APIs and cloud based solutions (AWS) focusing particularly on micro-service architectures Experience in delivering major programs of work in a complex, agile environment. Capital markets domain experience essential – risk is a nice to have Worked with, and delivered on, enterprise CI/CD capabilities and tools, providing guidance on best practices and helping enable major programs to deliver business value Sound understanding of engineering principles underpinned by design and development experience with one or more cloud environments – preferably AWS Experience with complex data structures and semi structured data (JSON, XML). Scripting Skills (Shell, Perl, Python) Proven performance under pressure and ability to apply analytical, problem solving and investigative skills Experience with logging, monitoring, and alerting tools Leadership experience including a passion for coaching, mentoring both direct and indirect reports Nice to have Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Architecture certifications on AWS or GCP Experience with CI/CD tools such as GoCD, GitLab, Cloud Build, or Code Build. Experience building scalable systems and workloads on the cloud. Experience migrating workloads to the cloud. Proficient in Linux, Shell scripting, Gradle, Java 8+, and Spring Boot 2.7+ Experience in developing Data APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC). Experience in building and working with Docker container-based services or other CRE. Understand challenges and trade-offs building, deploying, and running solutions in different environments. Comfortable presenting at Architecture and Design governance forums.
