Reporting to the Controller, the Budget Analyst (Analyst) coordinates the budget control process for the Department to ensure that expenditures are effectively planned and incurred. The incumbent actively contributes to informing the key financial planning processes (e.g., Main Estimates, Financial Management Broad (FMB) submissions, Requests for Decision, Business Plan, variance reports, financial forecasts, financial briefing material and expenditure management reports. The Analyst Monitors the Department’s third party funding arrangements and working with managers to ensure appropriate budgets, expenditures, and financial reports are completed.
