Join our team as a Web Design Student and gain hands-on experience designing and implementing our BlackBerry web interfaces. You’ll collaborate with a dynamic and supportive team to help shape our website, focusing on layout, design, imagery, animations, and user experience (UX). This role offers an opportunity to apply your creative and technical skills while learning industry best practices. Key Responsibilities Web Design & Implementation Assist in designing and implementing new web experiences for our website. Develop page layouts, select and treat imagery, and incorporate animations to enhance visual appeal. Ensure designs are responsive and optimized for multiple devices and browsers. UX & Usability Collaborate with stakeholders to create intuitive user experiences based on metrics and analysis Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine designs. Apply accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) to ensure inclusive design. Testing & Quality Assurance Perform web design testing to validate functionality, responsiveness, and visual consistency. Identify and troubleshoot design-related issues during implementation. Review bug tickets and work alongside the web team to resolve Collaboration & Teamwork Work closely with developers, marketing, and content teams to align design with business goals. Participate in design reviews and contribute creative ideas. Required Skills To thrive in this role, you’ll need the following skills and qualities: Design Proficiency: Familiarity with tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud. Basic Front-End Knowledge: Understanding of HTML, CSS, Next.js and responsive design principles. CMS Experience: Familiarity with headless CMS solutions, like StoryBlok Curiosity for AI: Understanding of how AI enables creative workflows and outputs. Creative Eye: Ability to create visually appealing layouts, imagery and graphics. Attention to Detail: Ensure pixel-perfect designs and consistent branding. Collaboration & Communication: Comfortable working in a team environment. Animation Skills (a bonus): Experience with CSS animations or motion design tools.
