The incumbent will provide lectures for the 3-credit course AERO 520 on aerospace-design related topics, including sizing of aircrafts; configuration design; design of fuselage, wing, and empennage; stability, control, and performance; component weight estimation; and aerodynamics and thrust characteristics. The incumbent will guide students in the use of Advanced Aircraft Analysis (AAA) or equivalent software in relation to these topics. The software will provide the basis for the design projects, undertaken by teams of students, that will constitute the majority of the assigned work in the course. In addition, the incumbent will offer guidance and feedback on the design projects. Salary: The salary will be pro-rated to 9/13 of the standard MCLIU Course Lecturer salary ($11,479) and will equal $7, 959. Teaching Qualification Requirements: Minimum of Master’s degree in Engineering Ideally member of Order of Engineers, though not required. Extensive knowledge of Advanced Aircraft Analysis (AAA) or equivalent software. Experience with supervising and guiding students through design projects. Extensive experience with Aerospace Engineering Design and Engineering Team Management. Demonstrated knowledge of spoken and written English. Strong problem-solving skills and flexible approach to teaching.
