Job Description
Are you an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a growing environment? Are you recognized by your colleagues as a trusted business partner and know how to ensure client satisfaction within operations? You might be the Accounting Analyst we’re looking for to join our Finance and Administration team.
What you will accomplish with us
Accounting Management
Post journal entries (except for revenue, payroll, and work in progress).
Verify the accuracy of supporting documents (invoices, receipts, etc.) before entry.
Perform monthly account reconciliations (bank, invoices, credit cards) to ensure accuracy.
Monitor compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
Prepare government remittances (source deductions, sales taxes, and income taxes), participate in tax audits, income tax filings, and reimbursement follow-ups.
Financial Statement Preparation
Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial statements for the parent company, subsidiaries, and other holding companies.
Participate in the month-end closing process (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow) including journal entries (other than revenue-related entries).
Collaborate with FP&A teams to integrate accounting data into financial forecasts.
Audit Management
Contribute to year-end audit files for the parent company and all subsidiaries.
Financial Information Systems
Assist with the implementation, integration, and optimization of accounting and financial information systems to improve operational efficiency.
Work closely with IT teams to ensure data integrity and system security.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Over 3 years of accounting experience (experience in a professional services firm is an asset).
In progress toward CPA designation (an asset).
Highly autonomous and able to work in an agile entrepreneurial environment.
Strong attention to detail and rigor.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, as the role supports stakeholders across Canada and internationally.
Strong knowledge of accounting and IT systems (Dynamics, Great Plains).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
