A career in our Chief Data and Analytics Office (“CDAO”) within PwC’s Business Enablement team will provide you with the opportunity to leverage innovative solutions to enable data-driven decision making for our organization. We are dedicated to helping our leaders transform data into actionable insights through reporting, dashboards, and other data products. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of dashboards and reporting tools. You will work closely with stakeholders across Finance, Sales & Marketing, Human Capital, and other parts of the business to support our developers and project team members to ensure that our dashboards meet the strategic needs of our leadership and drive informed decision-making.
Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As a Senior Data Architect at the Senior Manager level, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data architecture principles, standards, and reusable frameworks
Govern data modeling practices across 3NF, dimensional, and semantic layers to support ODS and analytical needs
Define and maintain authoritative data sources, business vocabularies, and lineage documentation
Oversee the integration of data pipelines across ingestion, storage, and consumption layers
Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to align architecture with strategic business outcomes
Partner with data governance and security functions to ensure regulatory compliance (GDPR, OSFI, FINRA)
Guide modernization initiatives leveraging Azure and Databricks ecosystems
Mentor and develop data engineers, modelers, and architects through technical leadership and coaching
Participate in architecture review boards, data councils, and governance forums
Continuously evaluate emerging trends (Data Mesh, Data Fabric, AI enablement) to evolve enterprise data design
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve
Experience in data architecture management and ability to oversee data architecture or engineering teams
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
Professional certifications such as TOGAF, DAMA-DMBOK, Azure Solutions Architect are assets
Proven success leading large-scale data transformation and cloud migration initiatives
Advanced expertise in data modeling techniques (3NF, star, and semantic layers)
Hands-on experience with Azure Data Services, Databricks, and data pipeline orchestration
Proficiency with metadata management, data lineage, and cataloging tools Collibra
Experience with ETL/ELT design, APIs, microservices and streaming data architectures
Ability to build strong partnerships with business and technology stakeholders to deliver reliable, governed, and high-value data assets
