Job Description The Operations Analyst, IST (integrated System Test) Mainframe is responsible for assisting application development areas and testers in conducting testing and quality assurance in the Integration & System Testing environment. The IST environment is built to closely reflect the Production systems in order to provide the developers with a robust and solid environment to conduct testing. The role is also to ensure proper procedures are in place and followed to maintain the integrity of these environments. May require overtime on weekdays or weekends (with overtime pay or time off in lieu). What will you do? Assists developers with their test cycles and in applying their Change Records in a timely fashion Runs, monitors and resolves issues in the daily batch schedule according to pre-determined requirements Assists developers in setting up applications in the testing environments by reviewing test requirements and building necessary ZEKE flows Builds automation processes required to ensure availability of the IST environments Provides support for problem calls during scheduled business hours Conduct review of test results with applications to ensure goals are achieved and necessary refreshes applied Demonstrate the ability to work with Service Providers, clients, and support staff effectively at a technical level. Develop & maintain the skills to adapt and adjust to the many changes in technology as they are related to the zOS platform What do you need to succeed? Solid knowledge of JCL, TSO, ISPF, Zeke, Beta91, HSDS, WAS, JES2 AOC, OMVS Willing to work a 1pm to 9pm shift on a rotational basis to run, monitor and resolve issues in the daily batch schedule according to pre-determined requirements Solid knowledge of RBC systems, network and applications Knowledge of IMS, CICS DB2 What’s in it for you?
