The Mel Jr. & Marty Zajac Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, located in Vancouver, BC, whose mandate is to support children, seniors, and those with special needs through innovative community projects focused on developing lifelong skills and independence. Our current major focus is Zajac Ranch, a camp in Mission, BC, for children/young adults with chronic, life-threatening, and/or debilitating conditions.

Opportunity:
We are seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager (SMM) to join our team at the Vancouver office for a 1-year maternity leave contract. The required start date is February 9, 2026, allowing for a one-week overlap with the current employee before her planned departure on February 13, 2026. The successful candidate will oversee and manage year-round site rentals and marketing initiatives for Zajac Ranch and the Zajac Foundation. The Sales & Marketing Manager plays a key role in helping the organization reach its resource development, marketing, and communications goals and objectives while elevating the brand profile and building strong, lasting relationships to sustain and grow the organization’s impact.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales
• Lead proactive sales efforts to secure and grow site rentals at Zajac Ranch year-round.
• Develop and execute strategies to identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with senior management to prioritize sales outreach and key growth areas.
• Manage the full sales cycle from inquiry to booking, including negotiation, contracts, and follow-up.
• Serve as the primary contact for all rental clients (new and returning) and cultivate long-term relationships.
• Implement and refine business development tactics that expand the organization’s client base and revenue streams.
• Monitor and analyze sales data, prepare forecasts, and adjust strategies based on trends and performance.
• Own responsibility for meeting and exceeding sales goals, with a strong focus on conversion and retention.
• Oversee CRM compliance, pipeline management, and post-tour follow-ups.
• Conduct regular competitive and market analysis to inform pricing, positioning, and sales strategies.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure cohesive customer experiences and brand representation.
Marketing
• Implement targeted marketing initiatives that support sales growth and brand visibility.
• Manage digital and print marketing campaigns, newsletters, sponsorship packages, proposals, and event materials.
• Support public relations and media engagement to build awareness of Zajac Ranch programs and rentals.
• Manage website updates, SEO analytics, and social media platforms to ensure engaging, consistent communication.
• Work with internal teams to create compelling content for newsletters, social media, and donor communications.
• Develop and monitor the marketing budget in alignment with sales objectives.
• Measure and report on campaign effectiveness, using analytics to guide future efforts.
• Ensure all marketing and sales processes are documented into standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistency and training.
Qualifications:
• Minimum three years’ experience in sales (preferably business development or client acquisition), plus three years in marketing and communications.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing growth strategies.
• Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, public relations, or related discipline.
• Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills across all media.
• Working knowledge of WordPress, Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM systems (CampBrain, preferred.).
• Proficiency with Canva (and similar) is an asset.
• Strong digital marketing, social media, and content creation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and client relationship management abilities.
• Strong project management skills (experience in Monday.com an asset) with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Previous experience in not-for-profit, hospitality, or camp settings considered an asset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends for special events.
Job Type:
• Full-time in office (Vancouver, BC), Monday to Friday.
1-Year Maternity Leave Contract (February 2026 – February 2027)
Compensation:
$60,000 – $65,000 per year (Commensurate with experience)
