$111,529 - $117,399 CAN plus bonus potential of up to 20%.
Must be currently in or willing to relocate to the Calgary, Canada area.
Must be able to travel as needed, +-50% of the time, throughout the US and Canada.
Must be able to pass and maintain a criminal background check and a Transport Canada clearance.
The Regional People Leader will support the Western Canadian region of SSP America. The Regional People Leader will work with assigned senior operations teams to ensure proper execution of all people-processes at designated airports. Primary liaison for all union-related activity for all locations. Monitor/update the employment/wage & hour laws and mandates for all provinces and territories in the region. Provide full HR support in the areas of employee relations, recruitment/staffing, compensation, employment law/compliance, benefits, organizational effectiveness, talent management, and training and development. Work closely with the headquarters teams delivering high-quality people services and special projects.
Must have a bachelor’s degree in human resources AND a minimum of eight (8) years’ HR Business Partner experience, or progressive role delivering results in a similar corporate position, preferably in the hospitality, food service/food and beverage, restaurant, or airport industry.
Must have proficiency in Canadian labor and employment laws, US experience a plus.
Previous Union / Labor Relations experience required.
Must have the ability to manage heavy workloads and effectively manage conflict situations leading to successful outcomes.
Must be able to work under high pressure situations and meet tight deadlines.
Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint). HRIS system experience required. SuccessFactors experience a plus. Must be comfortable working in a digital environment.
