To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What you’ll be doing Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Privacy Program Governance, you will be responsible for supporting the Global Privacy Office’s mandate and core strategies primarily in the area of privacy governance and regulatory change management. You will have primary responsibility for monitoring privacy legislation globally and related regulatory compliance management activities, and developing training and education materials for privacy awareness and program change management. You will also be responsible for building meaningful relationships and providing support with lines of businesses and oversight functions to monitor and support privacy governance across CIBC. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. How you’ll succeed Manage regulatory compliance - Act as control performer for regulatory compliance management (RCM) activities, including monitoring, communicating, working with key stakeholders to risk assess new or existing privacy related regulatory requirements, and determine appropriate mitigations. Build privacy awareness - Develop and deliver privacy awareness training, including mandatory training modules (i.e., CMTT and BMTT), live training sessions, and guidance materials as needed. Support special projects - Support the Senior Director, Global Privacy Program Governance with special projects as assigned. Build relationships - Work with a broad cross section of management across the strategic business units to ensure appropriate awareness of regulatory changes and impacts to frameworks, policies, and processes. Who you are You can demonstrate experience. In regulatory compliance, risk management and/or audit experience. It’s an asset if you have privacy risk management experience or legal experience/knowledge. You’re a certified privacy professional. You have current accreditation with the International Association of Privacy Professionals (CIPP) or would register to complete one of their certifications in the first year of employment.
