What will your day-to-day look like? Support the implementation of advanced manufacturing lines Provide the necessary expertise for developing and providing support for tools and modern manufacturing processes Plans, prepares and develops computerized manufacturing instructions (MOS). This involves preparing and editing partial illustrations of engine parts in CATIA V5. Creation of various NC programs across 3 manufacturing lines using CATIA V5 or other software Interprets complex engineering drawings and specifications Determines manufacturing and inspection processes, and the list of tools required Provides the assistance required to solve issues with ongoing processes Works to establish standards with an emphasis on mistake proofing and providing clear instructions Works with the other non-destructive testing (NDT) procedure departments to ensure that the instructions adequately cover the requirements of the drawings and specifications of the engineering department Ensures a clear understanding of the demands of the various stakeholders and responds to requests in a timely manner as agreed. Take a leadership role in all Planning related support functions (production, experimental, CORE) Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment Proven ability to lead a project in its’ entirety Demonstrated initiative with a commitment to achieving area and plant objectives What do you need to be successful? Preference will be given to completion of a post-secondary Engineering degree (mechanical engineering discipline preferred), technical related diploma, Journeyman Machinist or equivalent Completion of a 2-year minimum post-secondary program in either Mechanical Technologist or Machining with a combined 5 year work experience Preference given to applicants with minimum of 2 years’ Manufacturing Process Engineering (planning) work experience in a manufacturing environment Strong computer literacy, familiarity with MS Office (Excel and Microsoft Project), AutoCAD, CMM, CNC, CATIA and SAP Permanent resident or Canadian citizen, who will successfully complete an education verification, criminal background check and the Controlled Goods Program.
