POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Inventory Analyst is responsible to coordinate and perform daily cycle counts, monitor and report inventory accuracy, record and maintain pallet inventories and ensure corrugated boxes are ordered in the right quantities at the right time.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITES:
Daily Inventory Cycle Counts
Perform daily cycle counts and problem investigation as needed.
Monitor and report inventory variance issues, document all inventory discrepancies and adjust records.
Obtain the required approval and process adjustments in the system.
Report inventory accuracy for the daily meeting.
Inventory Analysis
Monitor and coordinate “balanced out” inventories (e.g. those items affected by changes in artwork design and changes in material or shape).
Use a problem-solving method to determine root cause and prevent reoccurrence of inventory accuracy problems.
Maintain accurate Footprints and report any adjustments.
Pallet Management And Planning
Maintain optimum levels of pallet and cardboard inventories.
Enter all pallet information in the database and maintain system accuracy.
Liaise with Accounting, Sales and Customer Service to confirm customer on hand inventories and collection of pallets.
Review on hand inventories of pallets and place orders as required.
Daily review cardboard box inventories and replenish Kanban racks as required.
Liaise with suppliers and communicate any supply and/or quality issues.
Other
Participate in the Continuous Improvement Program.
Complete special projects as required.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. College degree an asset.
Minimum Experience/Field: Minimum 5 years in manufacturing production control experience in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
Knowledge of pull inventory systems.
Proven ability to use Microsoft Office applications and MRPII systems.
Licenses/Permits Required: N/A
Communication Skills: Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements: Incumbent must spend considerable time on shop floor – exposed to noisy environment.
