Join The Team:
ERCO Worldwide is looking for an Application Developer to join our IT team! We are looking for a motivated, self-reliant, proactive individual to join the Information Technology Team! Reporting to the Application Development Manager of Information Technology, the Application Developer will be responsible for the implementation of innovative business systems solutions leveraging Power Platforms (primarily Power Apps and Power Automate), Azure Technologies, C#, SQL, and SharePoint Online.
A successful candidate should have previous experience with Power Platforms technology, be able to describe specifically and in detail prior work experience, demonstrate their ability to self-direct and work independently, showcase a passion for problem solving, attention to detail, and desire to learn. Due to the small size of the development team and ever-evolving nature of the technologies we work with, a pro-active and driven mindset is essential for success.
One of the first projects that the candidate will be undertaking is the migration of existing business workflow to a new framework, so the ability to review and understand other developers code will be critical.
The Role:
Work with project stakeholders to understand the problem space and create project plans that document and detail the features and functionality of the proposed solution. Work with the stakeholders to refine these as needed to reach alignment.
Plan, implement, maintain, and migrate application databases (SQL and SharePoint), including the creation of tables and views, management of primary and foreign Keys, creation of stored procedures.
Implement application front ends with Power Apps using Forms, Galleries, Buttons, Components, and other Power Apps components. Demonstrate a strong understanding of good UI and UX principles. Follow established design principles and write clean and well-documented code for the application functionality.
Implement application workflow and business logic with Power Automate, using SQL, SharePoint, JSON, Control, Looping, Microsoft, and additional connector components as required.
Work with project stakeholders to develop training materials, including software demo videos and user guides.
Co-Ordinate with other IT Departments (Infrastructure, Business Intelligence, etc) to deploy complete software solutions and develop reports.
Write and maintain both End User and Technical documentation for new and existing systems.
Manage, categorize, and update active projects and objectives using SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Teams Task Planner.
Provide support and helpdesk services for new and existing business systems solutions.
Engage in periodic collaborative team catchups to review objectives and projects.
Maintain application security through proper usage of Azure AD, SharePoint Online Groups, and SQL schemas, permissions, and roles.
Review and understand existing business solution implementations to plan and implement framework migrations.
The Person:
Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
3+ year of experience working with Power Apps and Power Automate for app and business solutions development.
2+ years of experience in wider application development and support using Microsoft Technologies and Tools such as: Microsoft Azure, C# .NET, or React.
Experience with IDEs like Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
Familiarity with SharePoint Online web components, page publishing, and document library/list configuration best practice.
Hands-on software troubleshooting experience.
Experience with specific phases of the software development life cycle, especially requirements gathering, deployment, and documentation.
Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
RDBMS experience, ideally SQL or Oracle.
Flexible and adaptable to learning and understanding new technologies.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
Technically proficient.
Highly self motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail.
