Job Description What is the opportunity? RBC Cards is one of the leading credit card businesses in Canada and is a strong contributor to Canadian Banking’s revenues and profits. The business has grown tremendously in the last five years, driven by our strong suite of Credit Card products and innovative marketing efforts. In this role, you will be accountable for designing, optimizing, and executing acquisition strategies across multiple channels: digital, in-store, and partner-owned – to drive high-quality new accounts and deliver strong program performance. You will also be responsible for execution and delivery of strategic initiatives focused on simplifying and improving the way we do business for our clients, one of our strategic Co-brand partners, sales force, and back office. You will own the overall financial goals of the business and lead on the development and implementation of key strategic initiatives. What will you do? Responsible for acquisition strategy development and execution for one of our strategic Everyday co-brand credit card portfolios. The incumbent will need to recognize trends, determine strategy effectiveness, and provide recommendations for further enhancements Optimize application funnels, value propositions, and messaging to improve approval, activation and usage rates Responsible for leading multi-channel acquisition campaigns: partner-owned, in-store, email, paid media, and loyalty program touchpoints In addition, the incumbent will support Co-brand Leadership team to develop and implement comprehensive business strategies to facilitate growth, focusing on long-term goals and profitability for overall retail Co-brand credit cards portfolio Identify performance trends and recommend initiatives to increase competitiveness in the Everyday Co-brand space Ensure implementation of key strategies designed to support the business objectives are completed on time on budget and meet partner expectations What do you need to succeed? Must have: Experience: 3-5 years in Product Management or Business Strategy / Transformation and understanding of key credit card business drivers with strong financial analysis skills is preferred Collaboration: ability to lead cross-functional teams and partner across LOBs and external partners to deliver results Complex Problem Solving: ability to breakdown complex challenges, identify potential solutions and make swift decisions Innovative Thinking – ability to conceptualize bold innovations that will create a competitive advantage for RBC Co-brand Credit cards business team and conviction to champion the right innovations across the organization Zoom In and Zoom Out: ability to dive into the details when necessary while also able to elevate strategic thinking and communication Strong Storytelling Capabilities – understand how to impact and influence both internally at RBC and with external partners by making compelling slide decks, telling stories with data, and elevating messages for executive audiences Nice to have: Demonstrated experience within the credit card industry (e.g., knowledge of Credit card financial and analytical skills) Awareness of retail landscape in Canada and/or previous experience with external partners delivering in-store solutions in retail channels Understanding of technology trends, architectures, and solutions, with a focus on digital transformation and innovation What’s in it for you?
