Nature & Scope → Your Role at Roots
The Operations Analyst supports the operational performance of the Leather Factory by providing accurate data analysis, performance reporting, and process insights that drive productivity, quality, and cost optimization. This role connects production data with actionable business decisions, supporting all factory areas — from production and planning to maintenance, logistics, and quality.
In addition to data analysis and performance monitoring, the Operations Analyst coordinates a small administrative support group within Production to ensure accuracy of records, production orders, and information flow. Working closely with Production Leaders and cross-functional partners, the Operations Analyst ensures that performance metrics are tracked, analyzed, and used to sustain continuous improvement across the plant.
Key Responsibilities → How You’ll Make an Impact
Operational Performance Analysis:
Gather, organize, and analyze production data (throughput, efficiency, quality, downtime).
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for key metrics (OEE, yield, scrap, productivity).
Support performance reviews with data summaries and trend analysis. Identify deviations and assist in root cause analysis.
Production Planning & Order Management:
Manage production orders in ERP systems, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Monitor order progress, identify delays or bottlenecks, and coordinate with Planning, Logistics, and Production teams.
Maintain precise documentation of production activities.
Data-Driven Decision Support:
Translate operational data into actionable business insights.
Collaborate with supervisors to interpret data and define corrective actions.
Recommend improvements to productivity, waste reduction, and resource optimization. Support cost and variance analysis with Finance.
Administrative & Reporting Leadership:
Supervise or coordinate administrative support for production.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting, data entry, and communication logs.
Standardize reporting routines across teams.
Continuous Improvement Participation:
Contribute to problem-solving initiatives and data analysis
Support tool implementation (standard work, visual management, performance tracking).
Technology & Systems Enhancement:
Assist with digital tool and ERP upgrades.
Collaborate with IT/Engineering for accurate system setup and reporting.
Identify opportunities to automate reporting and reduce manual data handling.
Compliance & Data Integrity:
Maintain data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with company standards. Support audits with verified production data. Ensure proper documentation control.
Qualifications & Experience → The Skills You Bring
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in operations analysis, production planning, or manufacturing performance management (preferably in apparel, leather goods, or consumer goods).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into clear business insights.
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar data analysis/reporting tools.
Knowledge of ERP systems and production workflows.
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple functions.
Experience or interest in Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
