To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What You’ll Be Doing The Director, Infrastructure Engineering is an experienced technology leader responsible for leading the delivery of automated enterprise patching solutions to meet service quality objectives in compliance with published metrics and KRI’s. This role oversees a team of senior infrastructure engineers responsible for designing, automating, and executing patching frameworks across all server platforms. This role drives operational excellence by championing automation, efficiency, and the integration of AI-driven solutions, ensuring the enterprise remains resilient, compliant, and agile in the face of evolving technology demands. By collaborating closely with other platform teams, as well as Information Security, Application Operations, and Development teams, you will accelerate the centralized, compliant, and coordinated patching and vulnerability management strategy with minimal business interruption. How You’ll Succeed Leadership & Strategy - Direct and coordinate the enterprise-wide design and implementation of leading-edge patching technologies. Align patching strategies with broader infrastructure goals, business priorities, and compliance requirements. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of patch engineers. Automation & Innovation – Drive adoption of leading-edge automation tools (SCCM, Satellite, Ansible, Tanium) to streamline patching operations. Champion efficiency improvements by eliminating manual processes and optimizing workflows. Introduce AI/ML-driven solutions for patch prioritization, predictive maintenance, and anomaly detection. Collaboration & Influence – Partner with platform owners, Application Operations, Development teams, and IT leadership to coordinate patching strategies with minimal business disruption. Represent patch management in enterprise governance forums, audits, and compliance reviews. Advocate for infrastructure-led innovation and continuous improvement across IT. Metrics & Reporting – Define KPI’s for patch compliance, remediation timelines, and operational efficiency. Deliver executive-level dashboards and reports that highlight risk reduction and efficiency gains. Who You Are You can demonstrate experience in leadership roles, managing infrastructure engineering teams in large enterprise environments, with expertise in patch management across diverse server platforms.
