Job Description
MISSION
The Retail Recruiter’s mission is to attract, engage, and support retail leaders in hiring exceptional talent who bring Indigo’s mission to life in our stores. Through strategic sourcing, collaborative partnerships, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding hiring manager and candidate experience, this role ensures our retail teams are staffed with capable, passionate, and ready leaders who drive business performance and bring the Indigo Experience to life.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Functional
Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for General Manager and specific store leadership roles, including identifying, attracting, and supporting the hiring top talent.
Proactively partner with hiring managers and HR Managers to understand staffing needs and develop targeted recruitment strategies and campaigns.
Collaborate with Retail Leadership and HR team members across Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards and L&D to align recruitment efforts with workforce plans, talent strategies and organization priorities.
Conduct detailed intake meetings with hiring managers to understand business specific needs and priorities for the role and establish detailed candidate profiles
Collaborate with hiring managers to identify hiring committee participants and plan and facilitate hiring committee meetings.
Create and post job advertisements across multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with Indigo’s talent brand guidelines.
Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, networking events, direct sourcing, and employee referrals.
Screen and assess candidates through resume reviews, phone or video interviews, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers and the hiring committee.
Manage the applicant tracking system for assigned roles, ensuring accuracy and integrity of candidate information.
Build relationships with active and passive candidates to maintain a strong pipeline of potential candidates and strengthen Indigo’s reputation as an employer of choice.
Stay current on market trends to ensure a competitive edge in talent acquisition. Educate candidates about Indigo's culture, values, and share position requirements to deliver a positive candidate experience.
Manage post-selection processes, including reference and background checks, offer negotiations, and coordination of pre-boarding and onboarding activities.
Engage selectively with external recruitment partners and agencies to support specialized roles while ensuring alignment with Indigo's talent brand and processes.
Track and report recruitment metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes, systems, and tools.
Represent Indigo at career fairs, networking events, and online forums to expand reach and brand visibility in key markets.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Manager to maintain and create hiring guides and talent acquisition tools for retail leadership.
Ensure all recruitment practices comply with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies.
People
Build strong partnerships with hiring managers by providing guidance, insights, and support to ensure a consistent and high-quality recruitment experience.
Contribute to the development of others by sharing expertise, best practices, and feedback that enhance the team’s overall recruiting capability.
Model collaboration, accountability, and transparent communication to foster trust and alignment across HR, retail leadership, and the broader Talent Acquisition team.

Qualifications
Work Experience / Education / Certifications
Minimum 3 years of full-cycle recruitment experience
Experience recruiting in a multi-location, specialty customer-centric retail organization is required.
Proven experience recruiting for leadership roles (e.g. Store Manager, or equivalent) with a focus on assessing leadership capability and cultural fit.
Demonstrated ability to build and manage candidate pipelines using a mix of sourcing channels such as job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
Experience partnering with hiring managers and HR teams to develop and execute recruitment strategies aligned to business priorities.
Strong familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR technology tools for managing requisitions, candidate flow, and reporting.
Exposure to employment law and recruitment best practices to ensure compliance and consistency across all hiring activities.
Experience representing an organization’s employer brand through positive, engaging candidate and partner interactions.

Strong planning and organization skills to manages multiple requisitions, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously with accuracy, urgency, and attention to detail.
