Job Description What is the opportunity? RBC Cards is one of the leading credit card businesses in Canada and is a strong contributor to Canadian Banking’s revenues and profits. The business has grown tremendously in the last five years, driven by our strong suite of Credit Card products and innovative marketing efforts. In this role, you will be accountable for the strategy, execution and delivery in support of RBC’s Everyday Cobrand Cards product portfolio with one of our strategic partners. You will synthesize and execute strategies across multiple channels: digital, in-store, and partner-owned – to drive high-quality new accounts and deliver strong program performance. You will own the overall financial goals of the business and lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives. You will manage both internal and external strategic relationships with the goal of delivering superior partnership and P&L / Product management enabling RBC to meet and exceed business drivers and annual profitability objectives. What will you do? P&L management for the Everyday Cobrand Cards responsible for strategy, forecasting, product features and development, promotion, pricing and process enhancements for revenue optimization. Responsible for product management including planning, creating business cases, setting growth objectives and managing key revenue drivers Responsible for acquisition strategy development and execution. The incumbent will need to recognize trends, determine strategy effectiveness, and provide recommendations for further enhancements You will lead financial forecasting & reporting, and the development of strategies that will grow RBC’s market share in this segment Responsible for overall positioning and branding of the portfolio as well as the management of the go-to-market strategy Identify performance trends and recommend initiatives to increase competitiveness Continuously monitor performance and deliver results at the monthly and quarterly forums with business insights to assess performance What do you need to succeed? Must have: Experience: 7+ years in Product Management and understanding of key credit card business drivers with strong financial analysis skills is a must. Collaboration: ability to lead cross-functional teams and partner across RBC & external partners to deliver results Complex Problem Solving: ability to breakdown complex challenges, identify potential solutions and make swift decisions. Innovative Thinking – ability to conceptualize bold innovations that will create a competitive advantage for RBC Everyday Co-brand Credit cards business team and conviction to champion the right innovations across the organization by having strong client focus. Zoom In and Zoom Out: ability to dive into the details when necessary while also able to elevate strategic thinking and communication. Strong Storytelling Capabilities – understand how to impact and influence both internally at RBC and with external partners by making compelling slide decks, telling stories with data, and elevating messages for executive audiences.
