The Speech Language Pathologist serves school-aged and pre-school children with developmental and/or neurological disabilities with a range of communication and speech and language delays and disorders. The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing multi-disciplinary assessment, parent-mediated and individual and group child interventions and community consultation. Mentoring is available in all areas of practice. Therapy sessions may be conducted on-site or in the community
- CASLPO registration
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Hanen certification including It Takes Two to Talk required.
- Hanen certification in More Than Words would be an asset.
- Minimum 2- 3 years pediatric experience preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of communication development, communication disorders and neurological and/or
developmental disabilities.
- Experience in augmentative communication preferred.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills and the ability to initiate and work independently.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license and access to vehicle for travel in the community.
- Willingness to participate in criminal reference check.
- Fluency in French will be considered an asset.
- Must be able to obtain a valid Vulnerable Sector Screen (VSS)
