Responsibilities will include:
Verifying correct material types, grades, lengths and quantities before shipping
Safely loading & unloading delivery trucks
Completing all shipping documents prior to departure
Communicating with driver and store staff regarding order status
Checking incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips
Identifying & reporting discrepancies such as damages, shortages or incorrect items
Labeling, sorting and storing special order and stock items in designated locations
Assisting with cycle counts, stock rotation and correcting inaccuracies
Monitoring inventory levels and notifying Home Centre Manager of low stock or damaged goods.
Maintaining proper stacking, spacing & yard organization
Keeping products in assigned locations as per yard layout
Operating forklifts safely and efficiently
Following company safety policies
Performing daily equipment inspections and reporting issues immediately
Keeping yard area clean and organized
Accurate order fulfillment
Safe equipment operations
Keeping an organized, clean and efficient yard layout

Previous retail experience would be an asset
Previous shipping/receiving experience would be an asset
Working knowledge of farm/agricultural products and building supplies is an asset
Ability to handle multiple demands at once while still providing excellent customer service
